Mr. Darlage is the author of sixteen published books.  He writes as a freelance for a British company, who have not only published his books, but also several articles for their monthly magazine.  He has also had artwork published by a separate company.

Charlotte was employed at Tara Treatment Center Inc. for 15 years. During that time she obtained her CADAC II certification as an addictions counselor and held several job titles. She had the opportunity to be involved in the inpatient treatment programs, half way houses, out-patient services and the Mother Baby Program. She was the Director of Nursing for the Detox Unit for a brief time as well. Other employment involving addictions and mental health were at Quinco and Koala Center. Prior to her interest in mental health she worked on an orthopedics floor at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Charlotte is employed at the Columbus Campus as a medical instructor.  She began employment in 2004 as a full time instructor. She transferred to the position of Student Services Coordinator until last year. Charlotte transferred to the Admissions Department until the beginning of the 2008 summer quarter. She found her back to the classroom as medical faculty.  Charlotte is an active member of the Bartholomew County Domestic Violence Action Team. Charlotte is a volunteer at Caring Parents and is involved in activities at her church. She volunteers with the nursery and pre-school programs. She will be going on the mission trip with the church in the fall.

Union University- Curriculum & DevelopmentProfessional Experience:Jennifer has fifteen years experience teaching elementary age students in Carmel, Indiana and Memphis, Tennessee.  She has also coached varsity girl’s gymnastics at Columbus North and Lawrence Central High School.  After teaching, Jennifer went on to the sales/marketing world where she has worked for the last six years.  She currently is a Territory Sales Manager for a healthcare company.  Jennifer misses teaching and enjoys working as an adjunct teacher here at Harrison College.

Personal Information:Jennifer was born and raised  in Columbus and is extremely excited to be back home.  She has a daughter, Jena Lee and is married to Rick.  They enjoy living in the country on the west side of town where they spend most of their free time in the family pool.   Jennifer can relate to her students because she taught school full time as a single mother, while she obtained her master’s degree.

Kim has held a variety of positions to include: quality control at a medical device manufacturing company, administrative positions, and restaurant management to name just a few. She found her true love in 2006 when she began her career as a Medical Assistant. During her time as a student Angie participated in Student Government and worked in the front office as a college work-study employee. Angie joined the financial aid team immediately after graduating from IBC. She became the Director of Financial Aid and then the Assistant Director of the Columbus Campus. Eventually she made the move into the Executive Director’s position. Angie often comments on how proud she is to be a part of a college that truly lives up to its word. She admires our students for their commitment because she knows what it means to be a student, parent and employee all at the same time.

Kelly has worked at the Columbus campus since 1991.  She began her duties as a Collection Accountant in 1991, then in 1993 she worked in the Financial Aid Department, and finally she moved to the Administrative Assistant position in 1996, where she remains today; and loves every minute of it.  She was presented with Staff Member of the Year in 1995 and again in 2005.

Personal Information:
Kelly is married to Tim and is the proud mom of 2 dogs and 1 cat, Molly, Sissy and Salem.  She is co-owner along with her husband of a trucking company, and enjoys going on trips with her husband in their semi when she is not working at the front desk. Kelly also enjoys Nascar Racing, bowling and just being with her family and friends.

At Harrison College Columbus:  Gina has worked in the Admissions Department at the Columbus campus  since June 2000—first as an Admissions Representative and as the Director of Admissions in 2003. 

Gina has been recognized many times for a variety of accomplishments throughout her career. She has been the recipient of several Employee of the Quarter Awards, Campus Employee of the Year in 2003, and a Lifetime Award for changing the most lives in the state.

Professional Experience:Gina has always been active in the field of communication beginning as early as high school where she held the positions of feature writer, feature editor and head photographer for her high school . At Franklin College she wrote for the Franklin College newspaper and was a member of the Franklin College Dance Team.  

After college Gina worked in radio as a marketing consultant, also lending her voice to commercials and participating in event planning for businesses throughout the community
 

Personal Information:In 2001 Gina married her husband Wayne. In 2003 Loryn Grace Pate was born and in 2006, Devin Wayne Pate joined the family. Gina and her family live just south of Columbus with their three dogs; Sugar, Ace, and Bella. Jackie lives in North Vernon with her husband of almost eight years, Quincy. Together they have a seven year old daughter, Britney. He was born and raised in Columbus where he attended both East and North High Schools.  After graduating Rich attended Vincennes University where he studied Banking and Finance. Rich returned to Columbus shortly after and worked in the restaurant industry for approximately 10 years. He then returned to school as a student at IBC Columbus. Rich had a very successful career as an IBC student. During his time here, Rich was a Work Study and held many offices in the Student Government, including President and Secretary. Since graduating, he has continued his education through his employers, completing many certificate programs. Rich now comes to us with many years of experience in operations management in both manufacturing and distribution, executive level management, and professional sales. In Rich’s own words, “I am very excited to come back to the place that changed my life and made all my success possible”. He is looking forward to helping students find that same kind of success in their lives. 
 
Personal Info:
Rich still lives in Columbus with his wife Jessica and 4 beautiful daughters who are between the ages of 8 months and 11 years old. He enjoys any outdoor activity he can do with his family including many church outreach programs and working in his yard. His favorite months of the year to be in the south central area of Indiana are May and October. His family enjoys all the fall festivals, the Kentucky Derby and the Indy 500.

Kathy started her career with Indiana Business College in 2001 as the Accounting Assistant. She has taken on any and all roles associated with the Financial Aid Department at the Columbus campus throughout her career. From ordering books to holding student appointments, Kathy takes her position very seriously. The rules and regulations associated with Federal and State student financial assistance are very strict and Kathy takes her responsibilities to the students and the campus very seriously. Her favorite part of her job is knowing that she has assisted students in finding the best FA plan for them as an individual and of course seeing them walk across the stage to receive their degree at graduation.

Megan married her husband Frank in 1996 and promptly had the first of her two children, Lori in 1996 and Adam in 1999. Anita not only believes in life long learning, she lives it. She understands the challenges many adult students face. Many of Anita’s degrees were earned while working a full-time job.  After teaching Business Classes for several years, she was promoted to Dean at the Columbus Campus. This love of education pervades Anita’s family. Anita’s brother, cousin, grandfather, great aunt, and great uncle were also teachers.

Melissa lives in Seymour, IN and is the mother of two. She enjoys spending time with her children and husband, Andy. Although always in the pursuit of additional education, Melissa finds time to take family trips—sometimes to destinations as far away as Mexico and sometimes just across the state. As a Harrison/IBC graduate, Jeanni enjoyes telling EVERYONE about the college. She likes working with groups like HYCA and C4--opening their eyes to the educational options available to them.

Jeanni lives in Columbus with her husband and three sons. She enjoys working on DIY-type home projects though admits to being somewhat frightened of many power tools! She enjoys playing around on the computer and loves finding new ways to promote the college locally. You will probably see her around campus with a camera--she loves taking photos but absolutly HATES having her picture taken!
